The Diet Nature Intended

The metabolism of cats and dogs operates at the peak of health on a largely carnivorous diet. After-all, cats and dogs historically evolved as hunters. The diet formulation used in ZiwiPeak™ 'Cuisine' has been balanced by veterinarians, to provide a pet's natural; nutrient, vitamin and mineral requirements.

Unfortunately pets cannot make decisions about what they will eat. There are products being presented to them that are full of artificial flavor enhancer's to entice them to eat. They contain ingredients such as meat and bone meal that are so highly processed they have questionable nutritional value and are packed with preservatives to ensure a long 'shelf-life' at the grocery store.

Of course people believe they are providing good food for their cat or dog. Much like human nutrition, the field of feline and canine nutrition is clouded with misconceptions, misleading advertising and an overall lack of commitment to educate pet owners on matters of peak pet nutrition.

In feeding a dry product, you will be serving less bulk. This is because wet food has more water in it.

For your pet's health and well-being they should always have access to fresh, clean water. Drinking plenty of water is normal and aids your pet's metabolic function. ZiwiPeak™ 'Cuisine' is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Nutrition Profiles for all life stages (from puppy to mature adult).

Vitamin D: This vitamin helps to maintain a healthy muscular system by regulating the balance of Calcium and Phosphate. It facilitates the absorption and utilization of Calcium in the intestinal tract and without it your pet would not develop strong bones and teeth.

Vitamin E: As an antioxidant, Vitamin E prevents damage to membrane structures, defends cells from free radical/oxidative damage, controls enzymatic processes, and protects against pollutants. Vitamin E also assists in the production of red blood cells and aids in the production of energy to feed muscles in the body, especially the heart.
