I post this as a warning to all dog owners. There are con artists (thieves) from Nigeria that are sending emails asking to buy dogs. Yesterday I got one from a guy named ALFRED alfredomobilecompany@excite.com) />
These people are scam artists. This puke asked to buy two dogs for his friend in Nigeria. Needless to say I will not even sell training videos to Nigeria much less dogs so its not an issue for me.

But for those people who have not heard of this - the Nigerians are famous for their Internet scams. They will try and buy on a stollen credit card or they will send forged bank draft. It can take a month or more for this bank draft to come back to your bank. Buy then they are eating your dog in Nigeria.

This country is a den of theives. There is no rule of law.

I just thought I'd add another scam aimed at dog lovers. The person contacting you will claim to have a dog that needs a new home. Usually they will pretend to be a missionary or contractor who is working in a W. African country. They claim to be looking for a home for a dog (usually a popular small breed like a yorkie or maltese) because the climate is making the dog sick.

When you answer they will come up with a lot of fees and bribes that need to be paid and ask you to help them out by sending money through Western Union or Moneygram (because these services are untraceable). The dog, of course doesn't exist and anything you pay will disappear never to be seen again.

Also these scams are not limited to Nigeria anymore. They come from a number of W. African countries such as but not limited to Ghana, Togo, Benin, Cote D'Ivoire and are increasingly based in Russia or other former Soviet Union states.
