after the puppy shots/first adult shots, i run titers.
i do not get all their shots in one visit. one vaccine. 2 weeks later a different one. this is supposedly safer. more important, if your dog has an adverse reaction there is no question which vaccine caused it.
i vaccinate for rabies 3 yr killed. only because state law gives me no choice. i looked up info on that. interesting stuff. the rabies vaccine was mandatory before there was ever a reported case of dogs or cats having rabies.
i have heard that vaccines typically cover the dog for 7-10 years.
