I know a local trainer that went there... If you are looking for a school check out either triple crown dog academy http://www.triplecrowndogs.com or tarheel canine http://www.tarheelcanine.com I really wouldn't bother or waste my money with another school, especially a correspondence school, even with a mentor program. I don't like how they created a certification title and you have to pay them in order to use it. Dog training should be based on experience, not who can drop the money on the internet and walk away with an unregulated "title".

Also the Tom Rose School: http://www.tomrose.com/

I would avoid ABC. Largely internet-based, and from what someone told me who regretted paying for their program, you have to call your "training supervisor" or whatever they call it before you can use an e-collar or prong, and that usually means that the client is kicked over to them. Don't know how true that is, but that was this guy's personal experience.

And they really promote Haltie collars as a main training tool. \:\(

There are many threads on the subject of dog training schools on this board, if you search. I know ABC has come up a few times. \:\)

ABC = complete waste of time and money.
Their "certification" isn't worth the paper that it's printed on.

It's the canine equivalent of a "diploma mill", and I can't think of a reputable kennel that would hire one of their "graduates".

Don't fall for it, attend a *real* dog training School, either the Tom Rose School of Dog Training or Triple Crown.

Petco will hire them!

LOL. I agree with you. ABC does have a partnership of sorts with Petco though.
