My name is Dan and about a year and a half ago I purchased a malinois pup from an unreputable breeder down in GA. Long story short, his form is that of a "poorly bred" mal, shorter muzzle than some Ive seen, very light undercoat etc. No papers provided, but I did have the opportunity to view his parents and both were clearly working line mals. Though I'm not glad to have donated $ to a person of this kind, I couldnt ask for a better constant companion. We are currently learning weight pulling and will be looking into some bite work. Heres my boy.

I don't think he's a bad looking dog Dan. Welcome to the forum.

I think you have a nice looking dog. The most important thing is what you said in your first post

"I couldnt ask for a better constant companion."

That's what is most important! Welcome to the forum.

I couldn't see anything wrong with the dog for all the energy coming from the pic.

I could just sit and stare at a confident dog all day. Flaws seem to disappear when attitude and personality flood the overall picture.

Lookin' foward to hearing more about your dog.

Muzzle norrow and short. Skin to loose around neck. Ears to big. eyes set to far back. No, realy looks fine to me, very strong build but not bulky. I thought I liked darker color but am starting to like the lighter. Have fun with him

Ha-ha! Tell them to take a flying leap! Just enjoy your dog and don't let the naysayers tell you otherwise. Unfortunately there is lots of people like that out there.

LOL, I can't tell you how many "authorities" insist I have a "German" Rottweiler even after I point out he was born in New Jersey.
