Imported Hidden Sleeve
Product # 861 This hidden sleeve is imported from Belgium. It is a quality product made to wear under garments. A hidden sleeve and a good quality muzzle are a necessary part of every police K-9 unit. Police dogs must be tested to verify they will actually bite someone that is not wearing a sleeve or body suit. It's no secret that many dogs that are trained on equipment will not bite a person without a sleeve on. The vast majority of Schutzhund dogs fall into this category. I can't tell you how often I have talked to a new K-9 officer who complained about his police dog (who has a sport background) running along side of an escaping suspect looking for a sleeve to bite. Police dogs need to be proofed to verify that they will actually bite when the need arises. Simply putting a hidden sleeve on will not solve the problem, but it certainly is a necessary part of the solution. Additional defensive training with a good helper, and the proper equipment is what's needed for these dogs. If you have to do this work, good quality equipment is a must. Our hidden sleeve is the best I have seen in this country. If you are new to this work, just make sure that you are doing it with a qualified instructor. Make sure that you work on leash with a good handler. This is dangerous work, it's not work for the faint of heart.
